2000.1-2003.5,美国阿拉巴马大学伯明翰分校神经科学系从事博士后研究工作
2003.6-2018.8,中国科学院神经科学研究所先后任研究员、高级研究员、所长助理、副所长
2012-2018,担任上海科技大学特聘教授
2014-2018,担任中国科学院大学岗位教授

 主要研究内容 
总目标:阐明脑结构与神经环路形成的分子细胞机制;揭示神经生长与退化相关神经系统疾病机理;开发新的神经损伤修复手段。
主要研究内容:大脑皮层的发育与进化;神经生长与导向;突触形成与修剪;神经损伤与修复。
